• Thursday 3 July 2025 Circus Skills Fun at Blackshaw Moor Thanks to the kindness of the Parent, Teacher, and Friends Association (PTFA), the children at Blackshaw Moor First School were treated to a vibrant and engaging circus skills workshop.

Recently, two of our schools, Leek First School and All Saints First School, embarked on an unforgettable three-day adventure at the Standon Bowers Outdoor Education Centre.
• Friday 9 May 2025 Rugby Success for Churnet View Congratulation to Churnet View's year 6 mixed tag rugby team who retained the district winners medals at Leek Rugby Club on Friday. They remained unbeaten throughout the fesival and scored an impressive 25 tries in 6 games.

Through this exciting initiative, pupils from Nursery to Year 4 have had the opportunity to participate in specialist cricket sessions led by experienced coaches. • Wednesday 9 April 2025 Miss Garnett Reaches New Heights Recently, our teaching assistant, Miss Garnett, took part in a thrilling charity skydive with her university netball team, raising over £8,000 for the "When You Wish Upon a Star" foundation. This remarkable feat will enable three children to have their wishes come true, bringing joy and hope to those in need.
• Wednesday 9 April 2025 Autism Awareness Day n Friday, 4th March, a group of dedicated students from Leek High School took to the outdoors to participate in our Autism Awareness Day walk. This event was organised to raise money and spread support for World Autism Acceptance Month, aligning with our core value of compassion.
• Wednesday 9 April 2025 Westwood First scoops Gardening Award Mrs. Thorne and the dedicated members of the Gardening Club have worked tirelessly to create a thriving garden at Westwood First. Through their hard work and dedication, they have not only improved the school's outdoor spaces but also instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment in the pupils involved.
• Monday 31 March 2025 Trekking Challenge In May, one of our staff at All Saints First School, Vikki Jackson, will be taking on the challenge of a 26-mile trek around London to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Society. Vikki's decision to participate in this event is deeply personal, as she lost her father to Alzheimer's disease earlier this year.
• Friday 28 March 2025 SPORTS NETWORK EVENING 2025 The Churnet View PE department are excited to announce its Sports Network Evening, an action-packed event designed to inspire young people and their families to get involved in sports. Taking place on Tuesday, 20th May, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, this interactive event will showcase an incredible 26 different sports clubs, offering a unique opportunity to explore, try, and enjoy a variety of sporting activities.

• Thursday 20 March 2025 A Special St Patrick's Day to Everyone All the classes at our All Saints First School, unsurprisingly, are named after saints. Once a year each of their classes, from St George to St John celebrate their special day. Today, the pupils of St. Patrick Class had a wonderful time celebrating the feast of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland.
